Interpretation
[Judge] means—
(a)
a Judge of the High Court appointed under section 4 of the Judicature Act 1908:
(b)
a Judge of the Labour Court appointed under section 288 of the Labour Relations Act 1987:
(c)
a Judge of the Compensation Court appointed under section 41 of the Workers' Compensation Act 1956:
(d)
a Judge of the Maori Land Court appointed under section 7 of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993:
(e)
a Chief Judge of the District Court appointed under section 5A of the District Courts Act 1947:
(f)
a Judge of the District Court appointed under section 5 of the District Courts Act 1947:

Superannuation of Judges and Solicitor-General as from commencement of 1 April 1988
Interpretation
[Judge] means—
(a)
a Judge of the High Court appointed under section 4 of the Judicature Act 1908:
(b)
a Judge of the Employment Court appointed under section 200 of the Employment Relations Act 2000 or deemed to have been appointed under that Act by subsection (1) or subsection (2) of section 253 of that Act:
(c)
a Judge of the Compensation Court appointed under section 41 of the Workers' Compensation Act 1956:
(d)
a Judge of the Maori Land Court appointed under section 7 of the Maori Affairs Act 1993:
(e)
a Judge of the District Court appointed under section 5 or section 5A of the District Courts Act 1947,—
and includes, for the purpose of calculating any retiring allowance, annuity, other allowance, or payment that is payable under this Part, any person to whom this Part of this Act has applied and who has ceased to be a [Judge]

Interpretation

Judge] has the same meaning as in
Part 5A of this Act
Interpretation
[
Judge], in relation to a District Court, or District Court Judge means a Judge who holds a warrant under section 28B of the District Courts Act 1947 to conduct trials on indictment; and in
section 399 of this Act includes any other District Court Judge
