Interpretation

[Branch] means any group or association of marine and power engineers in New Zealand united together under executive officers and having real or personal property held upon behalf of all the members of such group or association

Marine and Power Engineers' Institute Industrial Disputes Act 1974 [Full Act]

Interpretation

[Branch], in relation to the Institute, means the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Marine and Power Engineers or the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Marine and Power Engineers incorporated under section 3 of the said Act; and includes any other branch of the Institute incorporated under section 4 of the said Act.

Interpretation

[branch] means any number of the members of a society, under the control of a central body, having a separate fund administered by themselves or by a committee or officers appointed by themselves, and bound to contribute to a fund under the control of a central body; and includes a branch of a branch of a society
